The Phuket King’s Cup Regatta is a sailing race for the King’s Cup trophy.

It was first held in 1987 to celebrate the 60th birthday of His Majesty the King. This international event is held annually during the first week of December. More than 100 yachts and 2,000 sailors from all over the world participate each year. The event typically takes place from November to December at Kata Beach, Phuket.

The regatta is held under the Royal Patronage of His Majesty the King and is organized by the Phuket King’s Cup Regatta Organizing Committee. The event is also supported by the Royal Varuna Yacht Club, the Yacht Racing Association of Thailand, the Royal Thai Navy, and the province of Phuket.
